Why one team matters

One team. One project. Everything taken care of.

A bathroom renovation is nine different jobs that have to happen in the right order. Book them separately and you become the project manager, chasing people who all want to start on different days.

With Fit My Bathroom you deal with one team. We plan every trade as a single programme, check each stage before the next one starts, and tell you what's happening each day.

One project manager from survey to handover. One number to call.

Behind the tiles

What you can't see behind the tiles matters as much as what you can.

Most bathroom problems start out of sight: a shower that was never waterproofed, a joint that was never tested, a board that can't carry the weight of the tiles. We check every hidden layer, and photograph it, before it's covered.

  • Correct waterproofing. One manufacturer's tanking system around every shower and bath, applied as the tiling standard BS 5385 sets out.
  • Leak testing. A 24-hour flood test before a single tile goes on.
  • Plumbing testing. Every pipe run pressure-tested before it's boxed in.
  • Proper substrate preparation. Cement boards and level floors that can take the weight of large tiles.
  • Ventilation. Extractor fans sized for the room and set up to keep running after you leave.
  • Electrical compliance. Work near water done and tested by a qualified electrician, and notified to building control where the regulations require it.
  • Photo checks before tiling. You get pictures of every hidden stage for your records.
